They support their young children with complex and severe learning difficulties, through a variety of different methods such as supporting their sensory development, both verbal and non-verbal communication and learning life skills.We are looking for experienced SEN Teachers who want to assist children with their progression, and to make a highly valued, positive difference to their lives.   • Knowledge of assessment and teaching strategies appropriate to children with Special Educational Needs
  • Knowledge of the current legislative framework within which teachers operate, including the SEN Code of Practice, Curriculum 2000 and the Literacy and Numeracy.
  • The ability to relate to, communicate, and empathise with children who may have complex and severe learning difficulties.
  • Effective group management skills of children with moderate to severe autism and in some classes challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to plan and teach to meet the individual needs of the children.
  • An ability to empathise with the children and to provide a structure that facilitates emotional and social development.
To be successful in applying for this role you must have a DFE recognised QTS or equivalent.As an agency worker you are only paid for the days you have worked.
