They support their young children with complex and severe learning difficulties, through a variety of different methods such as supporting their sensory development, both verbal and non-verbal communication and learning life skills.We are looking for experienced SEN Teachers who want to assist children with their progression, and to make a highly valued, positive difference to their lives. Knowledge of assessment and teaching strategies appropriate to children with Special Educational Needs
Knowledge of the current legislative framework within which teachers operate, including the SEN Code of Practice, Curriculum 2000 and the Literacy and Numeracy.
The ability to relate to, communicate, and empathise with children who may have complex and severe learning difficulties.
Effective group management skills of children with moderate to severe autism and in some classes challenging behaviour.
Ability to plan and teach to meet the individual needs of the children.
An ability to empathise with the children and to provide a structure that facilitates emotional and social development.

To be successful in applying for this role you must have a DFE recognised QTS or equivalent.As an agency worker you are only paid for the days you have worked.
