About the role:
We are currently seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to join our esteemed defence client's team at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. This is a unique opportunity to work with a hybrid organisation, collaborating with the Aircrafts IT and the customer on an incredible facility.
Their services encompass both direct and indirect functions, working together to provide a comprehensive airworthiness service. This includes maintenance planners, licenced line maintenance engineers, technical specialists for structures and systems, facilities management, security, health and safety, and more.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the Maintenance Plan for the RAF A400M fleet, identifying necessary maintenance tasks and organising work packs for execution by internal or external base maintenance organisations.
• Input maintenance plan, equipment, terminals, manuals, specifications, overhaul plan, and logistic parameters.
• Support product and equipment post-delivery by providing repair, modification, and organised retrofit services for customers, adhering to required standards (e.g., airworthiness) and maintenance costs.
• Schedule aircraft configuration changes and major role changes.
• Forecast aircraft availability, including capability.
• Make tail-to-task recommendations, providing the ATLAS Flying Programme to the Fleet Tasking Availability Management Coordinator, taking into account FHQ (Flight Headquarters) requirements and ensuring the correct aircraft capability and remaining potential.
• Manage the Scheduled Maintenance Programme and Flying Programme to mitigate AOGs, unserviceability, changes to tasks and priorities, delays, defects, etc.
• Create and maintain the Integrated through Life Plan (ITLP) to increase fleet availability and manage fleet utilisation.
• Enter and maintain A400M planning data in the customer's Ground Computer Information System (GCIS).
• Manage projects and assignments as directed by the Head Office CAW.
• Support and contribute to any continuous improvement programmes.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the airline industry
• CAMO experience
