I am looking for a Behavioural Support Assistant whom is an experienced, resilient, and passionate teaching assistant, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children being troubled in education. Are you the type of person who would like to work inside a challenging environment, a place where each day will be a unique experience, and to feel rewarded by the impact of your role has on the pupils within your care?
You will be working with children that may have been excluded from classroom settings, they may be home tutored due to medical reasons, it could be that they have relocated and no place available in the local Carterton schools.This is your opportunity to allow the Carterton students to develop and get back into the classroom with their peers. No child likes feeling excluded and long-term for a student to be in the PRU is not the ideal situation.
- Pay £83.50 - £90 per day
- Inside the day pay, a little extra to accommodate not working on school holidays.
Schedule:
- Day shift (08:30 - 15:30)
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Work onsite in Carterton
The successful Behavioural Support Assistant candidate:
- NVQ Level 2 OR CACHE Level 2 OR BTEC OR BA (Hons) Education ORexperience working within an education setting (preferred)
- 2 Years within a PRU Support Assistant setting or community group/police young offenders.
- Assist with preparing lessons in all areas of the school curriculum with consideration of varied levels of student abilities.
- Have a full UK drivers license
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude.
- Provide simulating activities whilst ensuring hygiene and safety rules.
- Maintain a supportive and clean classroom environment.
- Be attentive to the unique needs of each student and be able to identify proper solutions when children encounter issues.
- Great communication skills to collaborate with other teachers and families when needed.
Behavioural Support Assistant role is not open for long, the school will conduct interviews and offer the role for the right candidate. Expected start date is ASAP, as the student's needs for the PRU are high prority and as you can imagine the school doesn't want to delay.
No VISA sponsorship can be offered, all Carterton Behavioural Support Assistant candidates must have a valid Enhanced DBS or will undergo one. Offers are subject to the DBS, rights to work and reference checks.
