Our client in the Manufacturing industry is seeking a Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team in Castle Donington.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who is working towards their ACCA, CIMA or ACA Qualification.
This is a permanent position which is offering hybrid working in the Manufacturing and Production industry.
The successful Part Qualified Management Accountant will be reporting into the Financial Controller.
Description
Assistant Management Accountant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analysing financial data.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and compliance reporting.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable functions as required.
- Work closely with senior finance colleagues to provide financial insight and analysis.
- Assist in process improvements and contribute to the development of financial controls.
- Adhoc duties that may be required.
Profile
The successful Assistant Management Accountant:
- Part Qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA (actively studying)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookups and pivot tables)
- Experience using finance systems
- Abiliy to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to manage workload effectively
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Able to commute to Castle Donington
