A well respected and established supply chain and distribution business (one of the fastest growing transport companies in the UK) has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Transport Planner who is looking to take that next important career step. You will join an expanding, dynamic business in Castle Donington that will develop and support your career aspirations within logistics. The position is based on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern 7am to 7pm. The role would suit a coachable and career-oriented individual who is passionate about logistics and is looking to develop into more senior opportunities as they development within the business.

You will enjoy the buzz of a busy transport environment and enjoy a variety of duties to include liaising with hauliers for updates and ensuring that time scales are adhered to, reacting pro-actively to unforeseen issues that may impact on delivery times ensuring they are resolved as effectively as possible with the least impact on the business. You will engage with personnel at all levels of the business, building professional relationships as well as identifying areas for continuous improvement.
