Here at Randstad we are looking for experienced care care assistants with experience working with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. We are looking for support workers to support unique individuals, supporting them within a residential environment. This role isn't without it's challenges but also offers incredibly rewarding work with every day being different. You will be supporting individuals to be independent and promoting their interests and goals encouraging them to live their lives to the fullest. You will be working closely with the individual and their families, creating a strong relationship with them and being a positive influence in their lives.

About the role:

This role involves providing support to Adults or elders on the (but not limited to) autism spectrum, Dementia, Learning Disabilities, and physical disabilities. Our residence provides a nurturing environment where you can truly make a difference to the individual. You will be responsible for establishing good daily routines and working with managers, the client and their family. Bringing a positive and friendly attitude to your work everyday, providing support and encouragement to those around you.

Both full time and part time hours would be considered for this role.

About you:

  • Previous experience working with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
  • You are compassionate and caring towards other with a desire to help people
  • You must have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team liaising with wider teams to ensure the best level of care is provided
  • Be able to work under pressure and stay calm in stressful situations
  • Have a strong ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Have moving and handling training and medication administration training
  • Have a full UK driving license
  • Have a right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
