- Salary: £12.18 PAYE / £13.61 Umbrella per hour
- Core hours 8.30-5pm Mon - Thurs and 8.30-4.30pm Friday
We are seeking a skilled Minute Taker / Administrator to provide high-quality business and administration support services within the Children & Young People’s (C&YP) Directorate. This role is crucial for ensuring effective operational support through proficient minute-taking during live meetings and comprehensive administrative tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide a range of administrative support tasks including bulk data input, typing, diary management, photocopying, and producing correspondence.
- Serve as the first point of contact for the team, handling routine enquiries and requests for information from colleagues, partners, and the public, adhering to the Council's Customer Care policy.
- Maintain effective communication systems, ensuring accurate message/information exchange with all levels of colleagues, partners, and the public.
- Organise meetings and conferences, including room bookings, agenda preparation, and document distribution. Attend meetings to produce and circulate minutes in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely and accurate data recording and storage within both electronic and manual systems.
- Collaborate with internal and external colleagues and partners to achieve common goals and objectives, displaying a positive and proactive attitude.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in minute-taking and meeting note-taking.
- Previous experience within a similar administrative function.
- Proficient in data entry and document typing with high accuracy and speed.
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally adhering to the Council’s plain English standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capability to manage own workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Experienced in coordinating diaries, booking meetings, and meeting preparations.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, effective with a wide range of internal and external customers.
