Salary: Dependent on Experience
Shift Pattern: 3 shift pattern (37.5 Mon to Fri)
o 6am-1.30pm x1 week
o 1.24pm-9pm x1 week
o 8.50pm-6.12am x2 weeks

Purpose of a Digicon Series 3 Operator
The Digicon Operator is responsible for the Operation of an ABG Digicon machine designed for the purposes of unwinding, printing, laminating, foil blocking and die cutting, inspecting, and rewinding rolls of carrier-based materials from a master roll of material produced on the digital press.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of a Digion Series 3 Operator
- Ensures productivity while minimizing waste and maximizing output by monitoring the converting process.
- Recognizing output problems and implementing the appropriate corrective actions.
- Maximizes efficiencies of the machine through accurate machine setup of dies, inks, varnishes, laminates, etc. according to procedures
- Monitors feeding and printing processes of Digicon to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions; make any necessary adjustments.
- Changes out and replaces various consumables and tooling.
- Calibrating the equipment by making measurements and adjustments to control output.
- Removes printed materials from machine and transports them to storage or finishing areas.
- Ensures the work conducted within the production area is performed in! A safe and efficient manner. Any unsafe work conditions are addressed immediately.
- Ensures adherence to all quality control processes and procedures and actively supports the company's internal audit program.
- Labelling and packing of jobs finished inline.
Skills & Experience Required for Digicon Series 3 Operator position.
Ideally suited to a highly skilled, fast working & analytical Flexo Printer with experience in the following:
- 2-3 years experience required as a Digicon Series 3 Operator
- High Quality Printing
- Over Lamination
- Cold Foil
- Hot Foil ( flatbed)
- Individual must be able to monitor processes, materials, and equipment, as well as judge quality through inspection.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required.
- Good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills
- 4+ years relevant experience in printing preferred.
- Preferred Candidate should possess basic mathematical skills.
- Requires an analytical approach to problem solving, being exact or highly accurate, meeting strict deadlines, and working with others in a group or team.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Attention to detail.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; talk; sit; listen; lift to 50 pounds and have vision capabilities that enable reading and viewing a computer screen.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language (verbal and written)
- Ability to work as a team member and independently.
- Ability to learn and apply new procedures and methods.
- Ability to follow safety procedures.
