We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The role is salaried at 50 hours per week, Mon-Fri 10hr shifts, £14ph. The driver must have held their C+E licence for no less than 2 years if under 25 or 1 year if over 25. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials from our site to a pallet hub, then returning with a load back to our depot. This is a great opportunity for individuals with excellent driving skills and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure packaging- Plan routes and follow schedules to ensure timely deliveries- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks- Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors regarding any delays or issues- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times- Provide exceptional customer service by being professional, courteous, and helpful
Qualifications:- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record- Previous experience as a Night Trunk driver or in a similar role is preferred- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards- Ability to operate HGV tractor unit and trailer up to 44ton- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
