As in-house recruiters for Lambson Building Products and Laminated Products based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, we have a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and progressive individual to join the production team working from their Castleford site as a Team LeaderAs an experienced Team Leader managing a team of people, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day manufacture of products associated with your department. Responsible for the delivery to both internal and external customers the role involves leading a team pf people and managing all resources under your control on a shift basis to produce quality products in a safe, timely, cost effective and efficient manner. This role involves working to a pre-defined plan to meet strict loading and delivery deadlines set out in a daily delivery schedule to satisfy customer expectations.Working hours:
  • Monday to Thursday 06:00am – 17:30pm (44 hours per week) with a 6pm locking up rota on a rolling 3 weekly rota basis

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Supervise: Manage and motivate a team to meet production goals.
  • Task Delegation: Assign duties based on team members' skills and production priorities.
  • Training and Development: Support onboarding and skill-building for team members.
  • Monitor Production: Ensure schedules, targets, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee product quality and adherence to company standards.
  • Enforce Safety: Promote and maintain health and safety practices on the shop floor.
  • Problem-Solving: Address production issues, including equipment or workflow disruptions.
  • Drive Improvements: Identify and implement opportunities for process efficiencies.
  • Team Communication: Act as a liaison between the team and senior management.
  • Performance Management: Monitor, evaluate, and report on team performance and progress.

Preferable Experience
  • Previous nesting machinery experience
  • 5 years+ experience in similar roll
  • Lean Manufacturing – including Kaizen, 5s and standard operations
