This role involves coordinating transportation, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and materials. Logistics Coordinator Job Overview
  • Organize and schedule vehicle movements to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Work closely with customers, service providers, and drivers to coordinate vehicle logistics.
  • Monitor and track vehicle movements, quickly addressing any delays or issues that arise.
  • Optimize transportation routes to lower costs and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Collaborate with storage facilities to ensure accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of vehicles.
  • Keep precise records of vehicle inventory and shipments, ensuring accuracy in the management system.
  • Communicate with transport service providers and vendors to guarantee timely vehicle supply and movement.
  • Negotiate favourable rates and terms with logistics providers and transport companies to reduce costs.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with service providers concerning orders, deliveries, or vehicle quality.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with vehicle operation regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary transportation documentation, including inspection reports and delivery notes.
  • Work with sales, fleet management, and service teams to align logistics operations with business needs.
  • Provide regular updates on vehicle movements and delivery schedules to internal stakeholders.
  • Address customer inquiries about vehicle movement status, delays, or other logistics-related concerns.
  • Identify and address issues related to vehicle movement, delivery, or inventory discrepancies.

Logistics Coordinator Job Requirements
  • More than 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, focusing on vehicle logistics.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and managing inventory systems.
  • Well-versed in UK vehicle transport regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Capable of juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in cost management and driving efficiency improvements.
  • Primarily based in an office setting, with occasional trips to storage facilities, distribution centres, or vehicle transport sites.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours may be required to manage vehicle movements based on business demands.
