Summary:We are recruiting a Cafe Manager to operate California Cafe next which is operated by Exelby Services Ltd. The premises is currently undergoing significant refurbishment to make it a market leading cafe and diner for both new and regular customers of the adjacent truck stop and surrounding area. We want you to play a key role in this journey to make the cafe a great place to visit for customers near and far.
Job Description:You will be responsible for:
Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both truck stop users and the general public from the surrounding areas.
Staff management and training a successful team. This includes recruitment and HR.
Being part of the kitchen team to create good quality food and provide excellent customer service.
Sales reporting and financial reconciliation.
Stock ordering and control.
Licensed bar management.
Shift rota management.
Implementing your own ideas to drive sales and bring in new business (e.g. promotions, menu creation, advertising, deliveries etc)
Skill & experience requirements: You should possess knowledge and have previous experience in the following:
Good knowledge and passion for the hospitality industry.
EPOS till management and analysing sales reports.
A positive attitude and passion for customer service.
Staff and inventory management.
Computer literacy and good understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and similar software
Food safety, and health and safety.
Driving license and the capability to drive their own vehicle to California Cafe or our head office location at Leeming Bar, DL7 9FE.
Training will be given to the successful candidate; however, applicants will need to show that they have what it takes to make this role and the cafe their own.
