Purpose of the role

The people we support are at the heart of everything we do. Your role will involve supporting individuals to live their lives to their maximum potential in a way that they want to. This will be a varied and diverse role that will involve leading the night shifts for the home, supporting and managing the staff team day to day and ensuring the wellbeing and happiness of the people we support this will be over 7 days and includes weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • To complete the tasks given within your agreed job description.
  • To support everyone to keep safe.
  • To give emergency rescue medication.
  • To administer PRN medication.
  • To complete wake night safety checks.
  • To hold the keys for safes and medication cupboard.
  • Fire Marshall.
  • Supporting staff to take breaks.
  • To support staff and guide staff to complete their tasks and duties.
  • To ensure all PPE is being warn appropriate to the task or person they are supporting.
  • Report any incidents  or accidents are reported to the Management team also ensure they are recorded.
  • Support staff to remember to complete all the necessary paperwork and nourish during the night where need.
  • Report any possible safeguarding immediately to the on call manager and ensure people the people we support are Safe.
  • Don’t answer any questions asked by staff if you are unsure of the answer, inform them you will get the answers ASAP and pass on to the next senior or manager you see.
  • Infection control and COSH rules must be followed as outlined in our safety management booklet available on QCS
