Position: SEN Classroom Support Location: Wakefield, West YorkshireSalary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (Actual salary: £19,370.70 - £21,122.66, depending on experience)Hours: 37 hours per week - Term Time OnlyAbout the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join our team, working specifically with students aged 5-19, who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism (ASD).

In this role, you will play a key part in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students in their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Assist students with personal and educational goals, particularly those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
  • Promote an environment that values equality, diversity, and respect for all.
  • Play a proactive role in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting students in developing confidence and independence.
  • Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for students, focusing on their transition into adult life.
