What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Estimator, you'll be the driving force behind complex bids and pricing strategies, reporting into the Regional Estimator and working alongside a brilliant bid team, technical experts, and a reliable supply chain.
You'll take the lead on high-value tenders, make big decisions with confidence, and support junior team members as a mentor. This is a high-impact role - one where your insights will shape the success of the business and the built environment around you.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Crafting analytical cost estimates that reflect programme timelines, construction methods, and project risk
- Identifying where support is needed and pulling in the right resources to hit deadlines and deliver excellence
- Deep diving into UK construction contracts, understanding their impact, and factoring in commercial risk
- Leading the estimating process on large-scale or complex projects with confidence and clarity
- Producing budget pricing, detailed tender docs, and financial forecasts that hit the mark every time
- Presenting tenders to clients with the perfect blend of insight, professionalism, and persuasion
- Sharing knowledge across the team, driving innovation, and helping junior estimators grow
- Contributing to cost-saving initiatives and pushing for efficiencies across projects
- Maintaining razor-sharp commercial, legal, and market awareness
- Developing accurate, engaging tender review materials and cashflows

- Proven experience in a senior estimating role within construction
- Exceptional knowledge of UK construction market and contract forms
- Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills
