Are you looking for a stable and rewarding job as a Welder ? Look no further! We are MGF - a national Shoring Solutions, Lifting & Safety and Structural Support provider. We're growing fast and need reliable yard operatives like you to help us succeed.

We specialise in designing, manufacturing, hiring and selling temporary works solutions. At MGF, we manufacture our equipment, operate our own transport fleet and have an in-house engineering team who produce design solutions to meet customers' requirements.

With 14 depots nationwide and 400 passionate members of our team, we're expanding. Each team member plays a crucial role in this success, and we need your help as a Welder to continue delivering exceptional results.

Working in our busy Workshop, you will be performing skilled fabricating work during the manufacture, modification and repair of heavy steel.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Welding and manufacturing of all types of MGF Shoring Equipment from instructions and the reading of engineering drawings
  • Perform high quality repairs on heavy duty steel equipment
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes
  • Observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards
  • Visually inspect welding work to determine compliance with standards and current legislation
  • Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping within your area

The core requirements for this role are:

  • Two years' experience of welding heavy steel including UC, RHS, CHS
  • Confident in manufacturing from technical drawings in accordance with BS EN 1090, execution class 2
  • Take full responsibility of individual workload and be able to prioritise
  • Work independently whilst operating as a team
  • Be flexible and willing to work on a variety of assignments
