We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Clerk to join a team based near Richmond.
The role and responsibilities:
- To manage a portfolio of clients’ accounts
- To input into sales and purchase ledgers
- Producing VAT returns
- To assist the Accounts Team with monthly management reporting and debtors’ reports
- Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Any other reasonable duties as required within the team
The skills they are looking for:
- Have a relevant accounting qualification or equivalent in experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in an accountancy/book-keeping role
- Experience of IT systems - Sage, Xero
- Good level of numeracy and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise busy workload
- Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
- Ability to act on own initiative whilst also working within Company processes and procedures
- Good organisational skills
- Pays attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills - ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Possesses tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
- Experience within a professional services organisation preferred, but not essential
