Job Advert: Management Accountant

Location: Inverness, Highlands, Scotland
Reporting to: Finance Director

Are you a conscientious finance professional looking for a rewarding opportunity within a flexible industry? Our client is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the chance to work closely with the Finance Director and a broader finance team, providing technical accounting expertise in the preparation of consolidated divisional results and associate company accounts.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly associate company accounts.

  • Preparation of associate company forecasts and budgets.

  • Preparing year-end associate company management accounts for submission.

  • Assisting with monthly management accounts for submission to Group Head Office.

  • Travelling to ports to assist with associate company accounting work.

  • Travelling to the Divisional Head Office as required.



Person Specification:

  • Qualified Accountant or Part-qualified accountant will be considered.

  • Previous experience in the Fishing industry would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Experience in consolidation and associate company accounting.

  • Familiarity with reporting systems preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Self-disciplined and efficient.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel.

  • Ability to work to deadlines.
