Job Role: Geography Teacher
Location: Barking and Dagenham
Salary: £185 - £265 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term, Full Time
GSL Education London Branch is looking for a Geography Teacher to join a mixed secondary academy in Barking and Dagenham. This is an exciting opportunity for a Geography Teacher who is passionate about inspiring students and delivering high-quality lessons. Geography Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing support where needed.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Geography examinations.
- Use innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the Geography curriculum.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
- Take part in school activities, trips, and extra-curricular learning.
Geography Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum across KS3-KS5.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A valid DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
