Our client, a leading producer of delicious Greek-style yogurt made from fresh British milk, is seeking a talented Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team in Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire.About the Role:As a key member of the engineering team, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include:Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct regular maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment (60% Mechanical, 40% Electrical).Factory Support: Provide essential mechanical support to all factory machines, including conveyors, labellers, scales, and process equipment.Routine Inspections: Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and respond promptly to breakdowns.Team Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to minimise downtime and enhance efficiency.Documentation: Complete necessary engineering documentation with a keen eye for detail.Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with Food, Health & Safety regulations.What We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, conveyor systems, pumps, and gearboxes.Electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds) are an advantage.Knowledge of process plant and filler/packaging machinery is desirable.Familiarity with HMI/PLC programming is a plus.A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Why Join Us?Competitive Salary: Enjoy an annual salary ranging from £40,000 to £48,000, based on experience.Full-Time Opportunity: Work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with rotating 8-hour shifts and occasional overtime.Parking Available: Convenient parking on-site for all employees.Dynamic Environment: Be part of a family-owned organisation that values quality and innovation.Important Information:This role requires personal means of transport due to our semi-rural location.You must have the right to work in the UK.If you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in a vibrant workplace, we want to hear from you!
