Quality Engineer

Gloucestershire

Circa 40,000 + Pension + Holidays + Company Benefits

Monday to Friday.

Quality Engineer sought for a market leading manufacturer, to ensure the highest technical and product standards of high value products. This is a rewarding role which will enable the successful candidate to monitor and improve the full quality process.

You will play a key role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with production teams, supply chain and other departments to inspect, monitor, and maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process.

The Role:

  • Visual inspection of final assembly products
  • Reporting damages and faults, monitoring non-conformance
  • Conducting supplier audits
  • Conducting assembly process audits
  • Taking control of remedies for damaged parts
  • Performing stock checks, raising parts issues with suppliers
  • Using the MRP system to keep on top of stock and inventory control
  • Implementing and monitoring quality process improvements

The Person:

  • Quality control or quality assurance experience within a manufacturing environment; automotive would be advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent knowledge of quality assurance principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Experience in using MRP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects or deviations from specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with external and internal members of various senior levels
