Job Title: SEMH Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Chapel-en-le-Frith
Salary Range: £95 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Full – Time
Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
If so, GSL Education are looking for a motivated and passionate SEMH Primary TA to join a welcoming and supportive school in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
Responsibilities of the SEMH Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA):
- Support primary-aged students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
- Assist in delivering tailored learning and behaviour management strategies.
- Build strong relationships with students, offering emotional and academic support.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage students' personal development, social skills, and emotional resilience.
Requirements of the SEMH Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA):
- Previous experience working with SEMH, or SEN students is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with students.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to classroom challenges.
- Drive between school locations when required (driver essential).
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
