Role OverviewJoining this firm as an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will be supporting the Senior team members in managing client accounts and helping them navigate financial challenges. You will primarily be responsible for preparing statutory/management accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping, and other essential accounting duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to broaden their experience and take on more responsibility in a really supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of statutory and management accounts
  • Handling client queries and providing support on accounting matters
  • Assisting in tax computations and returns
  • Bookkeeping, VAT returns, and other day-to-day financial tasks
  • Liaising with clients and maintaining strong relationships
  • Helping train and supervise junior staff when necessary

Skills & Experience

  • AAT qualified and/or studying towards the ACA/ACCA or an equivalent qualification
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
