Thrive Group are delighted to be working with a new well known client based in Chard, Somerset. We are recruiting for Christmas Production Operatives on a temp contract at least until Christmas.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of cheese products, as part of a team, in accordance with all applicable work instructions, procedures and policies. This could be working on a production line, stacking or turning cheese.
  • Responsible for Operational Pre-Requisite Programmes and the instigation of required corrective actions in accordance with the appropriate work instruction to prevent the inadvertent release of non-confirming product to assure food product safety.
  • Accepts responsibility for their own personal and professional development in keeping with the needs of the department and the company, supporting with and engaging in training and development plans as required
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement, equal opportunities and diversity and upholds these values within the team.
  • Responsible for checking equipment and machinery to ensure there is no potential risk to food safety, and for reporting non-conformances when identified
  • Ensure department cleaning and hygiene levels are maintained to the required standards through effective completion of cleaning schedules and processes, including the safe use of chemicals
  • Ensure all return-to-work paperwork is completed and handed to the appropriate manager following any absence, prior to entering the factory
  • Adhere to all company health and safety policies, food safety policies, procedures, and risk assessment control documents and assist in the completion of health and safety risk assessments

Skills Required:

  • Effective Team Working
  • Good level of written and oral communication in the business language
  • English Basic numeracy

Working Hours:

  • Rotational shifts (no night shifts)

Pay Rate:

  • £12.80 per hour to £19.20 per hour
  • Overtime enhanced during Weeks 44-48 inclusive to x2 after 40 hours basic worked - £25.60 per hour
  • Attendance bonus £150

Own transport required due to clients location
