Vision for Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join a supportive and nurturing Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Ashford. The successful candidate will work closely with students with various learning and physical needs to support their development and enhance their ability to participate in school life. You will be responsible for providing individual assessments, therapy plans, and strategies to help students achieve their full potential. This is a fulltime role and is due to start ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement personalized occupational therapy interventions
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure therapy strategies are integrated into daily classroom activities
  • Provide training and advice to staff on implementing therapy-based interventions
  • Monitor and review progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as required
  • Collaborate with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' well-being and development

Requirements:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration
  • Experience working with children, preferably within a SEN or school environment
  • Knowledge of a range of SEN, including physical disabilities, autism, ADHD, and developmental delays
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A passion for making a positive impact on students' lives and educational outcomes
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
