We are recruiting a Site Agent or Site Manager to oversee works for a regional specialist business. The contractor supports clients with civil engineering projects on marine, river and coastal schemes.
Theaim of the scheme is to replace the current lock gate, involving structural repairs, including repointing and grouting of a harbour wall to create a stable environment for the installation.
Due to restrictions on site the current lock gate requires lifting out using speciallydesigned lifting frame and winch. The new lock gate will be installed in 3 sections from floating plant.
Ideally the suitable candidate will come from an engineering background with the ability oversee the project from a sequencing and engineering perspective on site.
Previous experience of working in the marine environment would also be beneficial and therefore, have a good understanding of tidal working.
You will be the main point of contact for the client and will take responsibility for the health and safety, quality, and progress of the project reporting to the Contracts Manager.
Requirements:
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Lift Supervisor (desirable)
- Proven experience of managing and co ordinating a site team and project
