Job Title: Site Manager - Social Housing External Works (Greenwich)
Location: Greenwich, London
Rate: £28 - £32 per hour
Contract: Temporary (6 months initially, with potential for extension)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our team on an exciting project upgrading social housing properties in Greenwich. This key role will oversee the successful delivery of a significant External Works package, encompassing a wide range of improvements to the external fabric of the buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery:
- Oversee all aspects of the External Works package, including:
- Refurbishment of existing external walls (rendering, brickwork repairs)
- Window and door replacements
- Roofing works (re-roofing, flat roof repairs, gutter/fascia replacements)
- Landscaping & external areas (paving, fencing, soft landscaping, drainage improvements)
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee all aspects of the External Works package, including:
- Site Management:
- Manage site operations effectively, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Monitor progress against program and budget, proactively addressing any potential issues.
- Maintain excellent communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and residents.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, building regulations, and NHBC standards.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of site processes.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the social housing sector is essential.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office proficiency).
- SMSTS qualification essential.
- CSCS card essential.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in delivering External Works packages.
- Knowledge of NHBC standards.
- First Aid qualification.
