Rate: £28 - £32 per hour

Contract: Temporary (6 months initially, with potential for extension)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our team on an exciting project upgrading social housing properties in Greenwich. This key role will oversee the successful delivery of a significant External Works package, encompassing a wide range of improvements to the external fabric of the buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery:
    • Oversee all aspects of the External Works package, including:
      • Refurbishment of existing external walls (rendering, brickwork repairs)
      • Window and door replacements
      • Roofing works (re-roofing, flat roof repairs, gutter/fascia replacements)
      • Landscaping & external areas (paving, fencing, soft landscaping, drainage improvements)
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Site Management:
    • Manage site operations effectively, ensuring safety and efficiency.
    • Monitor progress against program and budget, proactively addressing any potential issues.
    • Maintain excellent communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and residents.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, building regulations, and NHBC standards.
    • Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of site processes.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the social housing sector is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office proficiency).
  • SMSTS qualification essential.
  • CSCS card essential.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in delivering External Works packages.
  • Knowledge of NHBC standards.
  • First Aid qualification.
