The School and Role

I'm recruiting on behalf of an excellent Special Needs School based in Greenwich, a short walk from Charlton Station. We’re looking for a ASD SEN Teaching Assistant with relevant experience to support pupils with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder).

The working environment here is one of outstanding support, team work, and a common goal in mind; providing a quality learning environment for their pupils. The School enable their pupils to gain the skills, confidence and opportunities needed to progress to employment, meaningful voluntary opportunities and training.

The School is a Special Academy for students with complex, low incidence special educational needs. They are a well-established and very experienced local provider of quality specialised education provision and cater for young people with complex conditions.

The desired ASD SEN Teaching Assistant will:

  • Have a passion to teach outside of a mainstream environment, and a commitment to experience the unique opportunities of a special school
  • Have a kind, caring, and compassionate nature which is used to plan and deliver inclusive, fun, and inspiring lessons
  • Have experience with pupils with ASD
