We are seeking a dedicated Financial Controller to oversee the financial control of our company and its two main divisions, Projects and Service. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for financial excellence, we want to hear from you.

Role Overview:As a Financial Controller, you will play a vital role in managing our financial operations, ensuring high standards of professionalism and detail. You will be responsible for a range of financial administrative tasks, working collaboratively under pressure to support our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and monitor the 13-week cashflow forecast, ensuring all financial aspects are accounted for.
  • Conduct weekly financial review meetings with the board to maintain a positive cash position.
  • Utilise Xero, Dext, and ApprovalMax for accurate bill recording and system updates.
  • Liaise with accountants for PAYE control, VAT, Tax, and other requirements.
  • Prepare Year End accounts and conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly P&L reports for both departments.
  • Manage payroll, including timesheet and overtime sign-off.
  • Process new starters and leavers, and manage HR PAYE requirements.
  • Handle company payments and manage purchase orders in CRMs.
  • Monitor payment dates, send reminders, and escalate debt if necessary.
  • Manage company insurances and renewals, and complete PQQs.
  • Perform general bookkeeping duties and run monthly vehicle tracking reports.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in implementing financial policies and processes.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis with strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure.
  • Highly organised with effective time management skills.
  • High level of personal integrity, professionalism, and work ethic.
  • Strong planning abilities and decision-making skills.
