Financial Controller

As the Financial Controller, you will oversee all financial activities, ensuring the financial health of the company and driving future growth. You will work closely with the Managing Director, board, and other directors, providing financial leadership and implementing strategies for long-term success. You will also mentor and manage a finance team of three assistant accountants and collaborate with the management accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Implement cost control measures for projects.
  • Manage cash flow and maintain financial readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Oversee contract and supplier financial management.
  • Identify and manage financial risks.
  • Assist in project accounting and tax planning.
  • Manage and develop the finance team.
  • Improve financial systems and processes.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and advisory.

Key Competencies Required:

  • Expertise in Construction Industry Financials, including CIS and VAT.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Sage 200, Excel, and project-based accounting software.
  • Leadership experience in managing finance teams.
  • Attention to detail in tracking costs and revenues.
