Deputy Manager

Daisy Nook Recruitment is proud to be working alongside a privately run residential home for chilren (9-17 years old), with homes based in Kent. The homes are for chilren with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our client is looking for a Deputy Managerfor their home in Chatham, Medway. This is a great career opportunity, joining a growing service right at a pivotal point.

The salary is between £34,000- £37,000, dependent on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager

To support the Manager to provide the team with positive leadership and guidance to ensure that the welfare of the childrenis paramount, and the children are supported to achieve the best possible outcomes.

To support the Manager to ensure all team members are compliant with Ofstedregulations.

To safeguard and promote the welfare and development of the children.

To support the team to ensure that the children'sstay complies with the ethos of their care plan

To ensure that care plans are regularly reviewed by Key workers

To attend training and ensure that all staff attend required/relevant training

Deputy Manager Specification

Positive experience working with children in a similar environment.

The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing and to complete reports and care plans etc.

The ability to drive and evidence of a clean driving license

Knowledge and experience of implementing children's Safeguarding Procedures

Relevant Health and Social Care Qualification

Commitment to Continuous Professional Development
