  • Our client is a successful construction / plumbing and heating supplies merchant who require an Internal Sales Professional.
  • An important sales role with a focus on business development.
  • Account management skills will also be required.
  • Some form of Builders Merchant sales related experience is required and perhaps ideally plumbing and heating knowledge too.
  • A proactive individual is required with great communication skills and strong attention to detail.

We currently have an excellent Internal Sales opportunity for a leading construction supplies / plumbing & heating distributor. They don't want an order processor!! They need a proactive, hungry sales professional perhaps ideally from the plumbing and heating sector but anyone with good sales experience from the builder's merchant's world will definitely be considered.

You will interact with customers over the phone and by email but sometimes face to face as well. Asking questions, finding about the projects the clients are working on, taking quotation enquiries, developing rapport with these people and upselling where possible. You will need to be able to think on your feet and ideally demonstrate sound product knowledge when called upon once established there.

The other part of the role is working on the quotations, generating the quotes and following these up, turning them into orders. We are looking for a confident individual with high levels of customer service. This role requires someone who is proactive and will pick up the phone and talk to customers!

You will be part of a team and that is key. It's a good team and we need to find a team player! You will be helping out your colleagues as it's a 'muck-in' type of environment.

Future progression is monitored and this company likes to promote from within.
