People Business Partner

Job title: People Business Partner (Regional Role)
Location: Chatham (HQ) & South Regions (Slough, Reading)
Reports to: Head of People
Salary: £55,000
Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days in the Kent office, 1 day from London, 2 from home

About our client:

A growing business committed to driving a supportive work environment. As they expand, they are seeking a People Business Partner to help shape and implement people strategies, drive talent management, and cultivate a positive organisational culture across multiple sites.

The Role

In this regional role, you will partner with senior leaders and site management teams, overseeing HR operations across the locations. Your primary focus will be driving People initiatives, supporting talent acquisition, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with stakeholders to align People strategies with business objectives and coach managers on HR policies and best practices.
  • Multi-Site HR Support: Provide on-site HR support across locations (Chatham, Slough, Reading, Manchester, Birmingham).
  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Work with the Talent Manager on workforce planning, recruitment, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Employee Relations: Partner with ER teams to promote a positive work culture and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Learning & Development: Identify training needs and support professional development initiatives across the business.
  • People Metrics: Use analytics to report on key HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to improve people strategies.

Who I am looking For:

  • Experience: Proven HRBP experience, ideally with blue-collar or multi-site operations.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence senior leaders, and drive change.
  • Personality: Approachable, proactive, with a 'bubbly' attitude and the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Travel: Willing to travel across multiple sites on an ad hoc basis (expenses paid)
