The Role
This role is with a successful financial company who offer savings, mortgages, insurance, and other services. They are looking for a Head of Data Architecture to play a crucial role in their data office leadership team. You will be responsible for defining and delivering data architecture solutions that align with their strategic business objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence and shape the data architecture practice within a large-scale financial transformation.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement data architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns to ensure consistent enterprise-wide data storage, consumption, and distribution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to promote and champion a data-centric approach across the organization.
- Develop and maintain the target data architecture and roadmap, including enterprise data platforms and cloud technologies.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction in data governance, architecture, and cloud Transformation initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on data architecture trends, challenges, and solutions to senior leadership and management committees.
- Work closely with key stakeholders, asset owners, service providers, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
What you need to excel in this role…
- Extensive experience working at a senior level in data architecture, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong expertise in data governance frameworks, data technologies, and platforms.
- Prior experience in cloud data transformation, particularly with Microsoft Azure, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present and communicate complex data architecture concepts to senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing and leading technical teams across multiple sites.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to influence and drive change within a fast-paced organization.
