We are currently seeking aElectronics Engineerto join our client in their Design & Product Support teams. My client operate in the Energy & Power industries, delivering sophisticated data acquisition and metering solutions.
Theyre looking for anElectronics Engineerbased near Chatham (with hybrid working). You must have previous experience in a similar role, also providing training to internal and external Field teams and Design Engineers on the companies product range.
Electronics Engineer Experience & Duties Required:
- Good understanding of electronic hardware and interfacing (RS232, RS485, microprocessors etc)
- Good understanding of Networking products and systems (configuring switches, VLANs etc) with hands- on experience
- Daily interaction with internal and external clients to resolve problems ranging from simple to complex network, protocol, interfacing and data issues
- Assisting with configuring systems to ensure compliance to specifications (This will mostly be in the workshop but occasional site visits will be necessary so a full UK driving license is essential)
- Occasionally conducting Factory Acceptance testing with customers present
- Fault finding on systems to determine hardware/configuration issues
Essential Electronics Engineer Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or similar discipline
- Full UK driving license
- Excellent Written & Spoken English skills.
Desirable Requirements:
- Strong capabilities with PC applications (standard windows and manufacturer specific) - Knowledge of the principles of Cyber Security would be advantageous.
- Experience of working with protocols such as IEC104, Modbus, DLMS would be an advantage.
