Based in a busy Control Room, as a CCTV Operator, you will be part of a team providing monitoring and response services within the Medway and surrounding areas. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to all partners and service users.The role will involve monitoring and managing incidents from the initial sighting and reporting through to completion, with co-ordination internally and externally with relevant stakeholders and service users. Your communication skills and calm manner will be a key requirement, along with committing to work a shift pattern which covers a 365 day operation. This is a fast-paced position, where every hour is different and will require quick, logical thinking whilst providing excellent customer service.
Previous experience within a monitoring-controlled unit is desired, with an essential requirement of holding a valid SIA Licence with CCTV. You must have good ICT skills, and a passion for supporting vulnerable people. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge and understanding of assistive technology and Telecare.The starting shift pattern will be 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and, after training, will rotate between 7pm - 7am and 4pm to midnight. The control room is located close to public transport.
