Simply Education is working with an SEN school in Kent, to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, permanent role with an immediate start!

This well-established and respected school supports students aged 6 to 25 with a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, sensory challenges, and high levels of anxiety. The role:

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to provide individualised student support and assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students develop their confidence, independence, and learning skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom activities.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support each student's educational journey.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude to meet students' varying needs.
  • A commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
