GSL Education Kent are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated French Teacher to join a reputed and supportive secondary school in Medway. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT (Early Career Teacher) looking to develop their career in a dynamic and forward-thinking school.

As a French Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will help to inspire students to develop a passion for the French language and culture, preparing them for their GCSEs and A-Levels. Your role will involve both the planning and delivery of engaging and interactive lessons, promoting language proficiency and cultural understanding.

French Teacher Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging French lessons in line with the curriculum for Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students.
  • Prepare students for their GCSEs and A-Level French exams, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and set achievable goals to help them improve.
  • Create an immersive language-learning environment, encouraging active participation in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French.
  • Promote an appreciation of French culture and language through creative and engaging teaching techniques.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as language clubs and trips to further enhance students' learning experience.
The Ideal French teacher Will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT with a strong subject knowledge of French.
  • Have experience teaching French to secondary students, ideally up to A-Level.
  • Be able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their best.
  • Have excellent classroom management skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Be enthusiastic about French language and culture and able to convey this passion to students.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
