Science Teacher – Gillingham, Medway
Start Date: January 2025

About the School:
We are supporting a popular and welcoming secondary school in Gillingham, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, in their search for a passionate Science Teacher. The school provides a nurturing and collaborative environment where staff are encouraged to use innovative teaching methods to inspire students and achieve excellent results.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic Science Department, teaching KS3 and KS4 students while contributing to the wider school community.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, following the national curriculum.
  • Take on full teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, marking, and monitoring student progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to help students achieve their potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and school events.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have a degree in Science or a related field.
  • Demonstrate experience in teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Be organised, reliable, and a strong team player.
  • Hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
