We are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in the Medway area. This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and looking to impact students’ learning experiences positively.
Day-to-day of the role:- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pre-set work is completed.
- Maintain a constructive environment, managing student behaviour and keeping students on task.
- Respond to any questions from students about process and procedures.
- Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures.
- Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher.
- Support with other activities as needed, such as examination invigilation, accompanying students on field trips, and assisting with school events.
- Experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote focus and discipline.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and students.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently.
- A commitment to education and a passion for working with young people.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
