Our client is a leading provider of fire safety solutions, specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire alarm and detection systems. We serve a broad range of clients in commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. As our company grows, they are looking for a skilled Fire Small Works Engineer to join their team, covering projects in Kent and London.

The Role:
As a Fire Small Works Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and servicing of fire alarm systems on small to medium-scale projects. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on variety and is looking to work across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality fire protection solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and commissioning fire alarm systems, including small works and system upgrades
  • Servicing and maintaining fire alarm and detection systems
  • Conducting fault finding, repairs, and system modifications
  • Liaising with clients to provide exceptional service and ensure system compliance
  • Ensuring all work adheres to industry standards and regulations (e.g., BS5839)
  • Completing required documentation, including reports and certification
  • Working independently and as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to specification
  • Attending emergency call-outs as required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the installation, servicing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems
  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards (e.g., BS5839, BAFE)
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple sites in Kent and London
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Relevant certifications (FIA, BAFE, or similar) are desirable
