About the Role

Are you an experienced professional in the parking environment? Do you have a background in managing the back-office functions for Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and the issuing of parking permits? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Parking Processing Manager to join a dynamic council team on a minimum 3-month temporary contract.

As the Parking Processing Manager, you will lead the delivery of the council’s parking processing functions, ensuring compliance with policies, exceptional customer service, and efficient processes. This is a hands-on managerial role requiring office management experience and expertise in the parking sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the penalty charge recovery and permit issuing processes, ensuring compliance with current policies.
  • Respond to work volumes, manage staff cover arrangements, and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, including income and expenditure analysis, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Conduct performance monitoring, staff development, and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally.
  • Prepare, develop, and monitor contract documents, policies, and procedures, implementing improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Hold regular meetings with stakeholders, carry out one-to-ones and performance reviews.
  • Assist in the development of parking policies and processes, ensuring coordination across all functions.
  • Deputise for the Parking Business Manager as required.
