Children's Social Work Team - Senior Practitioner
Medway Council are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Children's Social Work Team - Senior Practitioner looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. This Children's Social Work Team - Senior Practitioner role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.
Children's Social Work Team - Senior Practitioner Role Main Purpose:
- Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people through the provision of high-quality social work practice, supporting them to achieve their full potential, living within their family if safe to do so.
- Participate in effective partnership working and engagement and to work collaboratively with a range of organisations, statutory and voluntary in delivering services to children and young people.
- To comply with legislation, statutory guidance and local policies and procedures
- To be competent in all areas of the PCF at Experienced Social Worker level and The Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for approved child and family practitioners.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years post qualifying experience working in Children's Services
- SWE Registration
- Hybrid working- 2/3 days a week in the office + 5 days a week when on duty (if applicable)
- Full UK driving license plus access to a vehicle, business cover (inc. carrying passengers)
- Must have a current in date DBS at interview stage.
