We are seeking an exceptional and inspirational SEMH Teacher to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Our students, each with an EHCP, often face unique challenges that require a dedicated and understanding approach. This role is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding SEMH provision and make a significant impact on the lives of our students.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Delivering tailored education to small classes of students with SEMH needs, ensuring each child is supported in their learning journey.
  • Creating a stable and supportive environment that helps students overcome self-esteem issues and engage positively with their education.
  • Collaborating with parents, carers, and other agencies to facilitate positive behavioural changes and choices in students.
  • Preparing for the transition to a new, purpose-built academy and contributing to the development of our expanding provision.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and utilising innovative teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of the students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven track record as an outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs and managing challenging behaviour.
  • Strong commitment to improving life chances for young people, regardless of background.
  • Passion for teaching and dedication to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
