Beadnell Towers are looking for an experienced person who would like to join us as a Sous Chef. Working under our incredible Head Chef, in our amazing large newly built kitchen you will be completely customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.

You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of all dishes in your allocated area, ensuring that all guests receive efficient service and high-quality dishes. Beadnell Towers has been recognised in The Times Top 100 Places to Stay and we expect our staff to consistently achieve the standards expected to uphold this.

You will be willing to gain experience in all sections of the kitchen and ensure that company and legal requirements are always adhered to.

This position will include shift work working five days out of seven including weekends and bank holidays. Additional hours may be required to support our hotel during our busier periods. You will need to have access to your own transport due to the location of our hotel.

Duties briefly comprise:

  • To be fully aware of the preparation and service of all dishes on the hotel menus.
  • To prepare and present dishes on hotel menus according to customer/hotel requirements.
  • To maintain high standards of working practices in terms of personal appearance and safe and hygienic working practices.
  • To assist with the training of and supervise other members of the kitchen team.
  • To assist with quality control and menu planning where appropriate.
  • To practice the correct and safe use and care of all items of equipment.
  • To assist with various cleaning duties as required.
  • To assist with the ordering of food materials as required following company procedures.
  • To consistently deliver superior customer service through our Customer Service Programme
  • To be fully aware of and strictly observe Food Safety regulations and requirements.
  • Other duties dependant on the needs of the hotel.
