We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Manager to lead a children's home in Chatteris, supporting young people aged 10 to 18 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

As the Children's Home Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care. Your responsibilities will include:

路Creating a warm, nurturing, and therapeutic environment
路Safeguarding the well-being of children and young people
路Supporting young people to lead positive, fulfilling lives as they approach adulthood
路Overseeing the safe and effective management of the home, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all
路Leading the development of the home, ensuring sustainable operations and fostering a skilled workforce committed to providing outstanding care
路Empowering and supporting staff to thrive in their roles while encouraging their professional development
路Engaging in safer recruitment practices
路Collaborating with external agencies, including OFSTED, local authorities, health, and education services
路Participating in the 24/7/365 service rota, including shift cover when needed

The Ideal Candidate:

You will have:

路Strong communication skills with the ability to relate to children and young people
路A solid understanding of child development and the physical and emotional needs of children
路Experience working with young people who may have experienced trauma or have attachment needs
路A commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement
路The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver high-quality services
路In-depth knowledge of safeguarding practices
路Previous experience in a similar setting and at a management level
路A full UK driving license
路A Level 5 qualification in Social Care or a willingness to work towards it (with support)

This position requires an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
