Logistics CoordinatorLocation: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire Salary: Up to £28,500 per year Job Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Logistics Coordinator to join our clients expanding team in Chatteris. This role is crucial to the operations, involving daily communication and planning with customers, transport providers, agents, and shipping lines. You’ll support logistics processes, handle customer sales orders, and manage re-pack operations while assisting the Logistics and Commercial Manager. Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule Coordination: Monitor vessel schedules, promptly updating customers on any changes or delays.
  • Transportation Management: Arrange container haulage and pallet distribution to meet specific customer needs.
  • Information Gathering: Liaise with clearing agents and shipping lines to ensure smooth communication with customers and transport partners.
  • Sales Order Processing: Generate and dispatch sales order confirmations to customers and service providers.
  • Re-Pack Management: Process production reports for re-packs and manage waste effectively.
  • Stock Data Entry: Input stock data into the ERP system and ensure arrival intakes align with records.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Logistics and Commercial Manager and provide support to the Logistics Administrator.

Experience & Skills:
  • Previous experience in the FMCG sector is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar logistics role preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Prophet experience is desirable).
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday - 08.30-16.30
  • Fully office-based, 5 days a week
Requirements:
  • Must be able to commute to the office in Chatteris 5 days per week
  • Minimum 1 year of logistics experience required.
  • Excellent administrative experience
