My client is a well-established global organisation in the construction and infrastructure sector are looking for a Financial Accoutnant to join for a Maternity Cover.
About the Role:The Financial Accounting Manager will be responsible for:
- Preparing annual statutory accounts and gathering information from across the business
- Managing the annual corporation tax pack, liaising with external advisors, and resolving queries
- Reviewing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and handling tax-related queries
- Overseeing month-end close processes and drafting management accounts for senior stakeholders
- Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and implementing review meetings
- Supporting the transition to a unified country-wide financial accounting team
- Preparing insurance renewal packs and coordinating data collection
- Managing and mentoring a direct report
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Solid experience with statutory accounts, corporation tax, and VAT returns
- Proficiency in management accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
- Project management experience (beneficial)
- SAP experience (advantageous)
