Senior Management Accountant | £55,000 - £65,000 | Cheadle

Resourcery Group are exclusively working with a entrepreneurial business based in South Manchester looking to appoint a Finance Manager to work closely with an accomplished Finance Director.

The role will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for effective decision making. This role will also involve overseeing a small but experienced team.

Main duties will include;

  • Oversee and manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Production of full monthly management account packs, presentation to the FD and board
  • Actively develop new reporting standards, use Excel to advance current modelling and forecasting procedures
  • Take an active interest in understand what more the business requires and begin to develop required reports
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision making
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership
  • Manage and monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks
  • Challenge existing financial controls
  • Oversee all tax submissions and affiliated requirements
  • Management the relationship with external audit partners
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals
  • Ad hoc project involvement including a new system implementation

Candidate profile;

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Commercial mindset
  • Ability to understand but challenge numbers across the business
  • Critical and analytical mindset
  • Prior staff management ideally
  • Excellent communicator
